Palermo/Constance (gro) The friends of the friends are again at work in Constance at Lake Constance, now already for the third time. Once again, the main scene of intriguing power games will be moved from Palermo to Constance, when the third edition of the “Carnevale Siciliano” will be celebrated on the second last day of the month in the historic Konzilsgebäude after 2009 and 2010. Loosely based on Billy Wilder, Gamschen-Tobi (alias museum director Tobias Engelsing) and Zahnstocher-Flori (artistic director Florian Riem) will once again make their sinister appearances.
However, the main actress is and remains the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz, flanked by renowned soloists, among them Don Boldini (alias cultural mayor Claus Boldt). With Franz Liszt’s “Sogno d’Amore”, Verdi’s “Forza del Destino”, Wagner’s “L’oro del Reno”, Rossini’s “Diebischer Gazza” and Beethoven’s “5th Kaiserschmarrn”, Cosa Nostra demonstrates its influence across the Alps. It should assert it to perform its Carnevale twice. The Feb. 27 evening has been sold out for months.
The “Carnevale Siciliano” has long been a popular meeting place for Constance Sicily lovers and those who want to be.
